About
I currently reside with my husband and daughter, in my hometown of Charleston, South Carolina. I graduated from Winthrop University in 2004 with an Art Education Degree, an emphasis in Graphic Design, and a minor in Art History. I started teaching at the high school level in the Fall of 2004 and have been doing so ever since. I earned National Board Certification in 2009 and a Master’s Degree in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design in the Fall of 2012. I have taught everything from Basic Drawing to Darkroom Photography and Photoshop.
I firmly believe that an effective teacher is also a practicing artist. Art production is consistently a part of my daily life and I strive to improve and grow as an artist. My goal for the future is to continue life-long leaing by expanding my own artistic abilities and knowledge. I currently work from my home studio. |
